This simple platter features an assortment of white fruit and a beautiful almost-sweet lychee cream cheese dressing that pulls the entire dish together. It is the perfect compliment of subtle tropical vibes and flavors that is both comforting and fun. This tasty dessert is pleasant on the eyes carrrying a calm and subtle aesthetic to it. The easiest way to impress everyone at an upscale event, or even a small book club gathering is here!
This platter is not only visually stunning but also offers a variety of nutrients and flavors, making it a healthy and sophisticated choice for any special occasion!
Fruit selection for the pearl fruit platter:
The platter features fruits listed below:
Pears -crisp and juicy, offering a mild, sweet flavor are ideal for this platter.
Lychees - Exotic and aromatic, with a tender texture and unique taste. The shape of this fruit and the color of the flesh makes it ideal for the themed platter.
Dragon Fruit (White Flesh) - Mildly sweet and visually stunning, with a delicate crunch from the seeds are the ones to choose for this platter. I scooped balls out of the dragon fruit to match with lychees, rambutans, longan, and bobas to add to the pearl vibes. You may choose to make it this way or dice them.
White Peaches and Nectarines - Soft fruit with a sweet flesh are the ones to choose and not the yellow ones. Flat and white flesh peaches can also be used.
Bananas - creamy, sweet and a favorite for all ages. This fruit also adds to the tropical vibes.
Rambutan (Peeled) - Just like lychees, rambutan with a sweet, grape-like flavor and with spherical shape looks like huge pearl.
Apples (White Flesh Varieties) - Crisp and slightly tangy, adding a refreshing bite. There are pink apples which are colored and hence those may not suit for this themed platter. Any varieties like Granny Smith, honey crisp, Fiji, gala will work.
Longan - Soft ice-apple like flavor. This fruit resembles pearl because of its shape and color.
Mangosteen - ropical fruit with slightly acidic and sweet flavor is a great choice to include if you can find it in your region.
Guava (white flesh) - sweet tropical fruit that tastes like a blend of pineapple and strawberry. Make sure to use the white flesh ones and not the pink guava.
Bobas - Lychee popping boba adds to the refreshing pop experience in your mouth as well as the pearl theme.
Other fruits to include - Tender or fresh coconut chunks, starfruit are great additions to include in the fruit platter adding rich flavors as well as visual appeal.
You could also add yogurt popping boba for an extra fun flair to match with the theme of this platter.
For the dressing
The lychee cream cheese dressing with a hint of lemon juice is the sensational dressing that pulls the platter together. Simple and tasty! This recipe uses regular cream cheese, you may also use fatfree version too. Lychee juice and lemon juice add to the sweet and sour flavors.
Serving Suggestions
This saad easily serves 6 and is best served chilled. A simple idea is to keep the platter on a tray of ice so that it remains chill all through out the time.
You may want to double or even halve the recipe as per your requirement.
If you are planning to make ahead, the best suggestion would be peel the lychee, longan, and orangutan ahead of time since that is time consuming. Apples, pears, and bananas change color and hence it is best to cut them before arranging the platter. However, the dressing could be made ahead and refrigerated.
Storage
Any leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for one to two days. Since creamcheese lychee dressing contains milk product, it is best to keep it chilled always while serving and keeping it refrigerated is a great idea.

You definitely lived up to your blog's name! And your ability to arrange the fruit is "magical" too! The dressing sounds amazing. The one thing I haven't tried is Longan. I will have to hunt some down.

Thank you for your kind words and this is special one. I appreciate your comment. I found longan at Ranch Market. If you have a similar market near by, try it, they might have. Thanks Karen!
