    This cherry almond cobbler is a rustic and warm summer dessert combining the juicy cherries and the rich, nutty flavor of almonds, all beneath a golden, buttery, flaky topping.

    This dessert is rich in flavors and textures. I will call cherries and almonds as natural flavor partners. The sweetness and slight tartness of cherries are beautifully balanced by the rich, nutty, slightly bitter notes of almond. Their flavors complement each other in this sweet tart cherry topped with flaky almond flavored biscuit like topping with almond flakes providing rich texture in each dreamy bite.

    Making this dessert is simple! Instead of making the pie which involves long process, make this quick cobbler. The buttery, flaky crust is so easy to make using biscuit dough but with heavy cream and with added flavor twist of almonds.

    This is a crowd pleaser! Trust me, this can vanish quickly when you make for any gathering. With its rich flavors and textures, this cobbler with season's best juicy cherries will make any occasion a bit more special! What not to love in this dessert?

    Ingredients

    To make this cherrilicious cherry almond cobbler, you'll need the following ingredients:

    All purpose flour - base for the flaku biscuit

    Cherries - juicy and rich flavorful cherries are the star of the recipe

    Almonds - adds nutty flavor and textures

    Baking powder - leavening agent

    Heavy cream - contributes to the flakiness of the biscuit

    Corn startch - thickening agent

    Lemon juice - balances flavors and brightens colors

    Salt - balances flavor

    Sugar - adds to the sweetness

    Vanilla and almond extract - boosts the flavor of this delicious dessert

    Serving Suggestions

    This is a heavenly dessert for any day dessert! However when you sccop with vanillla or vanilla swirl vanilla icecream, you have the heavenly dessert in yhisa ubiverse.

    Storage

    You can refrigerate this for upto a week in an airtight container. Warm this in the oven and serve as such or with a scoop of icecream.

    Ingredients

    Cherry Filling

    • 5 cups Cherries pitted, halved
    • ¼ cup Sugar
    • 2½ tbsp cornstarch
    • ½ tbsp Lemon juice
    • ½ tsp Almond extract
    • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
    • ⅛ tsp Salt

    Biscuit Topping

    • 1 cup All purpose flour
    • ½ tsp Salt
    • 4 tbsp Sugar
    • ½ cup Almond flour
    • 1¼ cup Heavy cream
    • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
    • ½ tsp Almond extract
    • 1½ tsp Baking powder

    brushing

    • 1 tbsp Heavy cream
    • 1 tbsp Demerara Sugar
    • 2 tbsp sliced almonds

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 350℉
    • combine the ingredients listed under cherry filling to a bowl. Combine together and set aside.
    • In another bowl, add the dry ingredients required for the biscuit topping. Add the heavy cream and mix.
    • To a 9-in pie plate, add the cherry filling and scoop the biscuit base on top of the filling.
    • Brush with garbanzo water/aquafaba and sprinkle Demerara sugar.
    • 350 bake for 45-50 min cover last 10 min. Remove from the oven and cool.
    • Serve with charry vanilla icecream.
