    Why this chocolate falooda?

This dessert is the ultimate one for chocolate lovers! This is a scoopable and drinkable dessert rich in flavors and textures. The rich chocolatey flavors, with fresh fruits, nuts, vermicelli, basil seeds, creamy milk, chocolate, soft ice cream add to layers of textures and flavors which creates an out of the world dessert experince!

Trust me this is not hard to make. It requires multiple and simple components which maybe available in your pantry or freezer always. Boiling the vermicelli, soaking basil seeds, and chopping a couple of fresh fruits takes minimal time. In a few minutes, you can assemble the best chocolicious dessert for the whole family as this is shareable. But here is my warning, you may not want to share yours as each and every bite is indulging and delicious.

This is also a versatile desert as chocolate is one ingredient which every one is sort of addicted to. Chocolate makes everything and any minute better!

This decadent chocolate overloaded dessert is also customizable. You can jellies, favorite fruits, favorite type of chocolates, whipped cream etc. This can be dessert bar item too as your guests can customize their chocolate moster falooda dessert!

    Ingredients for Chocolate Falooda

Milk and evaporated milk - for the creamy milk layer

Sugar - to sweeten the milk

Semi sweet chocolate chips, chocolates - add to the rich and decadent dessert flavors and textures. This recipe uses semi sweet mini chocolate chips, chopped Kit Kat, and Hersheys. You could use your favorite chocolate candy bars in this recipe.

Falooda sev - this is corn vermicelli and this is available in Indian and mediterranean markets. You could also swap with regular vermicelli. This adds to the texture.

Basil/tukmaria seeds - These seeds sweel up when soaked in water and have a cooling and refreshing effect. In case you do not find these seeds, you could use chia seeds instead.

Nuts - This recipe uses sliced almonds, macadamia, and cashew nuts. You can use your favorite nuts in this recipe. Toasted nuts add tons of flavor and crunchiness.

Fresh fruits - Fresh fruits enhance the nutritional profile and add flavor and texture too.Apples, bananas, and starwberries pair well with chocolate. You can also your favorite ones.

Chocolate Ice cream - This recipe uses my homemade chocolate chip chocolate ice cream. You could use your favorite chocolate ice cream.

    Candied cherry - To garnish.

Chocolate syrup - For layering as well as garnish. This elevates the chocolate experience in this dessert to the next level.

    Serving Suggestions

This recipe makes two standard size falooda which you can serve in tall glasses, the traditional way. If making smaller portions, this recipe can make four to six servings depending on portion sizes. Serve this immediately after making as the ice cream will begin to melt.

    Storage

You have to serve this dessert immediately as soon as you assemble it. This is because the ice cream will melt. This is a crowd pleaser and easy to make one. You can prep the previous day and just assemble it while you are serving it. Or you could have a dessert bar where the guests could build their own falooda and trust me, this is a huge hit. Always!
