These easy to make nutella cookies are rich and full of chocolate and hazelnut flavor. This simple cookie is enough to bring a little joy anytime in your day. Everyday!
Why Nutella Cookies?
When you crave for something sweet or when you feel a little sad, trust me all you need is a cookie and not just any cookie. You will need only these nutella cookies.
Have you ever put the spoon or spreader you used to spread Nutella on your bread straight to the sink? Well, I can’t and I would just consume the nutella left in the spoon too. It is just awesome. Enjoying the rich, sweet, creamy chocolatey, hazelnuts - the flavours jumping around in your tongue and you can simply describe it is your heaven. It is addictive. Nutella lovers will just agree with me. If you haven't tried it, my sincere suggestion is: Please Try it! These cookies bring back your nostalgic memories.
Coming back to these cookies. Because of how much we love the hazelnut chocolate spread, I make cakes and cookies with it. The rich, creamy, chocolatey hazelnut flavor is just enough to convince anyone to try these and fall into love with these cookies.
You require only a few pantry staples to make these cookies. That makes it a big plus to bake these cookies. Bake it any time you want as these are also super easy to make!
I make these simple cookies when Ior a family member craves one. Or when my friends visit. Another chance to make and enjoy it together. Yet another occasion when I bake these without fail is during the holidays! I bake and pack these as gifts to my friends and neighbors and for the cookie trays for the get-togethers during the holidays. Kids love them. So, what are you waiting for? Follow the recipe and bake these at once.
Ingredients
Nutella - gives the chocolatey and hazelnut flavor all in one.
Sugar - sweetens the cookie
All purpose flour - base of the cookie
Baking powder - leavening agent
Salt - gives flavor
Flaxseed powder - binding agent in the recipe
Milk - adds flavors and gels the flaxseed powder
Butter - Fat used in the cookie and adds flavor.
Vanilla - enhances the flavor of the cookies.
I have made these cookies with reduced butter and it works too. You may a little milk if needed to adjust the consistency. Since Nutella is also rich and creamy reducing butter to half the quantity and using 1-2 tablespoons milk will bring similar results too.
Storage
Honestly to say, I never attempted to store these and check as it is always gone as soon as they come out of the oven. We hog the cookie sheet as soon as it is out of the oven waiting for it to set and in the next 5 minutes, the cookie monsters gobble it all up! I make multiple batches if I plan to take these for cookie exchange or for party snacks. However, you can store these for about 4-5 days at room temperature in an airtight container.
