    In otherwords, these hot chocolate rolls are the ultimate cozy bake you coud ever dream off. Perfect for chilly mornings or evening treats, or for any day snack or breakfast.

    Who doesn't love hot chocolate? These rolls are the replica of the drink but in a bread form. Just pure comfort in every addictive bite. The soft bread, with rich chocolate filling, marshmallows, not to mention the cozy whipped topping. This is your dreamy drink that brings comfort. Irresistible!

    Every layer has the cocoa flavor. This is a chocolate lovers dream come true. Cocoa in the bread, filling, chocolate chips in the filling and in topping. So delicious!

    Just set a tray of these at your table. Everyone will scream with joy as it brings comfort and memories of their favorite drink while building newer ones.

    These rolls are ideal for brunches, holidays, or family gatherings. They are great in taste and are shareable. Or not!

    Customize to suit your needs and taste! make it your hot chocolate drink. Mix peppermint candies, add nuts etc. Any customization is possible. Just make it yours bake and enjoy the chocolate treat. This recipe uses vegan marshmallows, choose to use your preferred brand or flavor.

    Ingredients

    To make these hot chocolate rolls, you need the following ingredientsAll purpose flour

    Cocoa powder - adds the chocolatey flavor.

    Salt - gives flavor

    Sugar - sweetens the rolls.

    Milk and Half & half - gives the creaminess and softness to the rolls.

    Heavy cream - gives soft and tender crumb.

    Vanilla - Taylor and Colledge Madagascar Vanilla gives the best flavor and aroma.

    Yeast - leaves and gives great bread

    Chocolate chips and marshmallows - adds to texture, flavor, and gives the utmost satisfaction of hot chocolate. This recipe uses vegan marshmallows. However, you can use your favorite marshmallows.

    Serving Suggestions

    These rolls are ideal for any day or for any occassion. Cozy winter breakfast or brunch or any day breakfast or snack, this is sure to bring smile in everyone's face.

    You can serve these rolls as such or add a whipped topping just like the way how I chose to serve it to my kids.

    Or you can just drizzle with a chocolate glaze or vanilla icing, dust lightly with powdered sugar.

    With a cup of milk this is so heavenly. You can also serve these hot chocolate rolls warm with a cup of actual hot chocolate for double indulgence.

    Storage

    I store these rolls in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. I warm these in the oven before serving. Microwaving in short 10 sec blitz will also work. if preferred serve with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.

    Servings: 12 rolls

    Ingredients

    For the Tangzhong

    • 5 tsp Milk
    • ⅙ cup Milk
    • ⅙ cup Water

    For the Dough

    • 2¾ cups All purpose flour
    • ½ cup Half and half
    • ½ cup Milk
    • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
    • ¼ cup Sugar
    • 8 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 4 tbsp Butter
    • Tangzhong from above

    Chocolate Filling

    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 3 tbsp cocoa
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    • ½ cup chocolate chips
    • ½ cup marshmallows

    Topping

    • 1 cup Heavy cream
    • 2 tbsp Sugar
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • ¼ cup Marshmallows
    • 1/¼ cup Chocolate chips

    Instructions

    • To make tangzhong: Mix the flour, milk, and water listed under"For Tangzhong" without any lumps. Cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes until you get a think mixture.
    • Add all the ingredients listed under "For the dough" into your bread machine. Set it on dough cycle to prove the dough until it is doubled.
    • In the meantime, make the chocolate filling by mixing butter, cocoa, vanilla, cream cheese.
    • Punch and knead the dough on a floured surface. Roll it into a 16x18-in rectanngle.
    • Spread the chocolate mixture onto the rolled dough.Sprinkle chocolate chips and marshmallows. Cut into one and a half inch strips. Roll each strip into a coil and place it into a prepared 12x12 baking dish. Set aside for 40 minutes to prove.
    • Preheat the oven to 375℉
    • Pour the heavy cream all over the proves roolls. Bake at 375℉ 22-23 min .
    • Remove from the oven, cool completely.
    • Serve with a whipped cream topping.
