This jalapeno popper dip is the easy, delicious, and cold version of the addictive and popular snack jalapeno poppers. This could be serves as an appetizer, snack, or even as a light meal.

Why should you try this jalapeno popper dip?

If you love jalapeno poppers, this creamy dip calls you. This is SO easy to make. Just mix everything and serve with chips or veggies. No need to bake at all! This cold version is an ideal choice for easy summertime meal ideas when you do not want to spend time cooking actively.

In addition, this also customizable as you can adjust the jalapenos to suit your spice levels. The fresh jalapenos add to the crunchy bite and yields texture.

Yet another point to convince you is its versatility. This dip can be served with bread, chips, crackers, veggies.. literally anything! Therefore this scrumptuous dip is an easy entry for an appetizer for any event. Or for any snack style meals.

    Ingredients

To make this super easy jalapeno popper dip, you will require the following ingredients:

Cream cheese - Adds protein, nutrition, as well as forms the creamy base for the dip.

Sour cream - Adds to the creaminess of the tip yielding a mild tang!

Jalapenos - this recipe uses fresh and pickled jalapenos. Adjust the quantity as per your taste. The fresh jalapenos gives a great texture bite while the pickled ones notches up the flavor of this dip

Cheddar cheese - sharp cheddar and white cheddar are great for this recipe.

Salt - gives flavor, a little goes a long way.

Black pepper - Adds a zing flavor to the dip

Green onions - Enhance the flavor profile. You may use chives too!

Garlic powder - Adds a characteristic flavor depth

Cilantro - Boosts aroma and flavor.

    Serving Suggestions

This dip is best when you serve chilled. However, you can serve it as soon as you make it too. That's the way I do for quick snack style light meals.

You can serve this versatile dip with everything! Crackers, tortilla chips, slices of baguette, bagel crisps, cucumbers, sweet peppers, carrots and the list goes on.....That's why it is the choice whether you are having a smaller or a larger crowd.

    Storage

Leftovers, if any, you can refrigerate it for 3-4 days and serve with chips or veggies when needed. Thus it is also a great option for snack style lunch or a great after school snack.

You can also stuff in between slices of bread or flatbreads to make a quick meal.

I like the relatively mild heat of jalapenos, this dip sounds delicious! (I always love having a bite of creamy avocado with a fried jalapeno slice and this is the same concept, yummy.)
