Ingredients for the Carrot Stuffed Carrot Buns

These carrot stuffed carrot buns are easy to make with the following ingredients.

All purpose flour - This is used to make the bread dough. This makes the buns so soft.

Carrot juice - Fresh carrot juice is used in this recipe. This gives the beautiful and vibrant color to the dough. This also adds extra vitamin A. You can use any type of carrot juice that you may have.

Carrots - These are the star of the recipe. Shredded carrots are used for the filling.

Tomatoes - Add a little acidic flavor and enhances the flavor of the filling.

Onions - Enhances the flavor of the filling.

    Salt - Gives flavor

Sugar - to activate the yeast

Instant yeast - I have used instant yeast in this recipe. If you are using active dry yeast, make sure to activate it and use in the recipe.

Butter - Adds flavor and gives a soft texture to the bread. If you prefer a vegan version, try substituting with vegan butter.

Milk - Enhances flavor and adds softness to the buns. You can substitute this with plant based milk.

Spices - Turmeric, cayenne, and garam masala give the color, flavor, and a spicy kick. You can adjust the cayenne as per your taste.

Thai Chili - This is used to boost the heat. This is optional if you want a milder filling. You may add extra, if you prefer a spicy filling.

Oil - Neutral oil works well in this recipe.

Aquafaba - This is used to brush the buns before baking as it yields a beautiful color to the baked goods However, you can substitute this with milk.

Sesame seeds - These add to the flavor of the buns.

Cilantro - this herbs is my favorite herb and it adds aroma to the filling.

These buns can be stored for a day at room temperature. I would highly recommend storing in the refrigerator if you plan to use it for many days. These carrot stuffed carrot buns stay well in the refrigerator for about four days. When needed you can pop them in the oven and warm. They will be ready as fresh as it is baked.

Another great idea with these buns are that they are on the go breakfast and it is a wonderful option for adults as well as kids.
