Hot Chocolate Rolls

These hot chocolate rolls are soft, fluffy, and filled with rich chocolate goodness, and are like your favorite cozy drink transformed into a warm, pull-apart treat.

Ingredients

For the Tangzhong

  • 5 tsp Milk
  • cup Milk
  • cup Water

For the Dough

  • cups All purpose flour
  • ½ cup Half and half
  • ½ cup Milk
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 8 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • Tangzhong from above

Chocolate Filling

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup marshmallows

Topping

  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ cup Marshmallows
  • 1/¼ cup Chocolate chips

Instructions

  • To make tangzhong: Mix the flour, milk, and water listed under"For Tangzhong" without any lumps. Cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes until you get a think mixture.
  • Add all the ingredients listed under "For the dough" into your bread machine. Set it on dough cycle to prove the dough until it is doubled.
  • In the meantime, make the chocolate filling by mixing butter, cocoa, vanilla, cream cheese.
  • Punch and knead the dough on a floured surface. Roll it into a 16x18-in rectanngle.
  • Spread the chocolate mixture onto the rolled dough.Sprinkle chocolate chips and marshmallows. Cut into one and a half inch strips. Roll each strip into a coil and place it into a prepared 12x12 baking dish. Set aside for 40 minutes to prove.
  • Preheat the oven to 375℉
  • Pour the heavy cream all over the proves roolls. Bake at 375℉ 22-23 min .
  • Remove from the oven, cool completely.
  • Serve with a whipped cream topping.
