These eggless double chocolate orange buckwheat cookies are rich, nutty, chocolatey with vibrant orange aroma delivering comfort in every bite.

About double chocolate orange buckwheat cookies

This is the best cookie you'd have tasted! The chocolate and hint of orange make this cookie irresistible! These double chocolate orange buckwheat cookies are chocolatey from both cocoa and chocolate chips further boosted with a fresh zing of orange zest that keeps every bite lively. There’s something magical about the combination of chocolate and bright citrus and it is one my favorite flavor combos.

Buckwheat aka kuttu (in Hindi) is very good for health and is gluten-free. This cookie has both all-purpose and buckwheat flour giving the best of both the textures and flavors. Buckwheat flour adds a subtle nutty flavor and soft, tender texture. Further, it increases the nutritional profile.

With so many plus points, this is a great one to make every time and enjoy with friends and family! With this new twist in double chocolate orange cookies, Santa would love to have a few! Make sure to leave a couple more:-)

    Ingredients

To bake these decadent double chocolate orange buckwheat cookies, you will need the following ingredients:

All purpose flour and buckwheat flour - a combination of these two flours provides an enriched cookie that is nutty, soft, and chewy.

    Salt - enhances flavor

Butter - adds to the flavor

Orange zest - boosts aroma pairing perfectly with rich chocolate flavors

    Vanilla - flavor enhancer

Brown sugar - sweetens the cookie

Cocoa powder and chocolate chips - these give the chocolate flvor but double the flavor. You can use mini or regular chocolate chips

Milk and flaxseed powder - this mixture is the egg substitute in the recipe

    How many cookies?

This recipe makes about thirty to thirty two cookies. Thus a batch of these is great to share with friend and family. Or to indulge by yourself. Being selfish is perfectly fine with these decadent cookies!

Want more, double the recipe. Bake and share as edible gifts or cookie exchanges.

    Storage

These double chocolate orange buckwheat cookies stay great at room temperature for a week. I tried to sneak a few to check for shelflife beyond a week, but I couldn't check as it was gone. The cookie thieves find the right hiding spots and enjoy this cookie!

Well, it is amazing and is expected! I can guarantee that these are to be gone at the blink of an eye!
