This sweet, tangy, and spicy mango habanero sauce is a perfect condiment to drizzle on your tacos and burgers for that flavor bomb sensation!
Why this mango habanero sauce?
First of all, it is simply delicious! The sweetness of the mangoes balances heat from the habanero peppers. Secondly, this sauce is so versatile that has multiple uses. You can use this as a marinade, as a dipping sauce, or drizzle on tacos and salads for that extra flavor explosion!
Next, you can adjust the heat or sweetness based on you taste preference by adjusting the habaneros or mangoes.
Further, the nutrient content has to be mentioned here. Did you know that peppers contain capsiacin which has anti-inflammatory properties? Habanero adds that and mangoes enhance the nutritients by adding more vitamins.
Lastly, you can't deby this fact that hoemade sauces have a longer shelflife and this sauce is no exception!
That's why this is a popular sweet and spicy condiment!
Ingredients
Mangoes - The star of the dish. Sweet, fresh, and ripe mangoes work well in this recipe.
Habanero peppers - the spicy co-star of the recipe. Habanero peppers with high Scoville units give the spicy punch.
Apple cider vinegar - Balances the sweet mangoes and spicy habenros. You may substitute with regular vinegar if you do not have this.
Salt - gives flavor.
Sugar - To balance the spicy habaneros.
Lime juice - boosts the flavors
Water - For the consistency.
Onion, ginger, and garlic - these aromatics give flavor and yields a well balanced sauce.
Serving Suggestions
This mango habanero sauce is a flavor bomb! This enhances the profile of any meal. Anything with this sauce is a winner for me. Drizzle this condiment on your tacos. Spread it on your burgers or sandwiches. I love to add it to my grilled cheese or serve it with parathas sometimes. This is a versatile sauce that you can use in any way you want. So limitless possibilities to serve this sauce.
Storage
This sauce is well cooked and you can store it for 3 to 5 months in the refrigerator. Once you make, this is so handy to jazz up any meal to a special and elevated meal.
A word of caution
Habanero peppers are very spicy. I would highly recommend using a glove while processing these peppers. Accidental splash on eye can be painful, so wash your hands a couple of times with water well as soon as you handle these peppers. My motto is to take precaution and enjoy the bounty available.
