This is delicious, vegan, homemade granola packed with tropical flavors! This is an easy to make snack that is filled with tons of flavors and textures, is a great snack on the go, and is budget friendly too.
I received samples from Anolon, and the views expressed are my own. I receives Anolon baking sheet, and honestly it is the best baking sheet ever! I have used this baking sheet to make the Oatmeal Carrot Cookies and these Brioche Buns. Not only cookies, breads also work amazing in this sheet. This is my go to baking sheet and I would highly recommend it.
What is granola? In simple terms, it is a breakfast and a snack that is made with rolled oats, nuts, dried fruits, and a sweetener, and baked until it is crisp. Not only as a breakfast cereal, but also it is a great, healthy snack. It can be packed easily to take to kids' games, hikes, any road trips etc. This can be topped on fruits and yogurt too. With inexpensive rolled oats, it is possible to make different flavors of granola. It is possible to save a lot of money when you make it at home rather than paying huge amounts at the supermarkets. Did you know that this is a great edible gift?
Making granola is not super hard. All you need to do is mix the rolled oats, dried fruits, nuts, sweetener and bake in the oven until crispy. Two points to remember while making granola is that high temperatures cause it to burn quickly before it gets crispy. The temperature that works perfectly for me every time is 325 degrees F. Secondly, it is important to mix it around after 10 minutes. After this keep an eye, so that you can take it out of the oven before it begins to burn. The last 5-7 minutes are crucial for a perfect granola.
Granola is a healthy snack and this granola is loaded with tropical flavors. I grew up eating lots of mangoes, jackfruits, and coconut, not to mention the other fruits that I crave for often. We get dried forms of these fruits and it is a great way to include in your diet. With dried jackfruits, mangoes, and coconuts, this is a very flavorful granola that would take you to paradise in every mouthful. I ran out of banana chips, and that would be a great addition. Cashews were the most often used nuts when I grew up and used the same here, but any nut of your choice can be used. Maple syrup can be used instead of coconut nectar. Rolled oats are the best to make granola, this recipe wouldn't work with instant oats.
This tropical granola is my favorite snack. Just pack it in a jar and enjoy when you crave for a delicious snack with tons of textures. This is one of our favorite snacks, just like this Namkeen Moong Dal. Oats is my favorite grain and I love to snack on these Spicy Chickpea Oats and Carom Crackers, Soy Bean Flour Ribbon Pakoda, Karasev, cereal chivda. Anyone would need sweet, spicy, and salty snack items to satisfy the cravings. This Butterscotch Cereal and Pretzel snack has sweet and salty flavors, which is great! When I need a mild and sweet snack, this granola, the perfect and healthy jar snack, is my go to choice. Try it, and it will be your favorite too!
