    Rose Chia Pudding

    Feb 5, 2022 · 11 Comments

This rose chia pudding is the ultimate breakfast or dessert that is very delicious with the flavor and aroma of Damask rose, and easy to make. No effort at all! Anyone can make this pudding and you require 3-4 ingredients only! Any choice of milk can be used and hence it is easy to make regular as well as vegan versions.
This rose chia pudding easily makes two to four servings depending on whether this is served for breakfast or as a dessert! Keep in mind, this is SO delicious that you'll always want more of this. Plus, this is a healthy dessert, if you do not mind the sugar :-)! It's easy to make and hence can be easily doubled or tripled as per requirement!

This is the most easiest recipe! Mix milk and chia seeds and set aside in the fridge for a few hours, mix the syrup, top with nuts. How fun and easy! Technically, you can't go wrong at all. But, just watch the proportion of chia seeds to milk. If you need a pudding consistency, use two tablespoons per half cup of milk. If you add less, it will be a little runny as we will be adding rose syrup too.
Rose essence can also be used in place of syrup. In that case just add a couple of drops as it is very strong. Rose syrup has sugar in it and hence there is no need to add any sweetener. If using rose essence, add maple syrup, honey, agave, sugar, or any sweetener of your choice. Both rose syrup and rose essence will be available in any Indian groceries.

Rose is highly aromatic and I love anything made with rose. I am just addicted to its fragrance! Rose adds a lovely flavor to any food and these Pistachio Rose Cookies or Eggless Rose Madeleines are SO addictive that one can't stop eating them. Rose essence is added in some recipes like the cookie and madeleine, and it adds a magical touch elevating the flavor like in this Qatari Balaleet! Fell in love with the vermicelli sweet with rose and saffron notes! Rose syrup is common in our pantry and we mix it in milk or use it in our falooda, or in this Rosemalai (Rasmalai made with rose syrup, and hence the flavor!)

Chia seeds are tiny seeds of the plant Salvia hispanica which belongs to the mint family. The mighty tiny seed is rich in nutrition and is packed with omega fatty acids, antioxidants, iron, and calcium. Chia has immense benefits and has a mild, nutty flavor. Chia seed will absorb water/liquid and swell up and that helps in making nutritious pudding with no effort at all! This chia is amazing to use as a good and healthy breakfast and I absolutely love this Coconut Chia Berry Pudding when summer berries are at their peak in season. Equally, I love this Coco Chia Coconut Smoothie! That's my favorite one to have for breakfast and love this rose chia pudding for dessert!

It's time for our Supper Club meet and we share amazing recipes on the first Saturday of every month. Sue of Palatable Pastime hosts this amazing event and It's super fun! Check here for more info if you'd like to participate.

Rose always symbolizes love and this pudding with a beautiful color and flavor of Damask rose is a perfect one for Valentine's Day. I have never made a chia pudding and keep meaning too--this looks great. I had no idea this was in the mint family!
