    Cauli Crumble Mini Samosa

    Jan 11, 2022 · Leave a Comment

This is a super addictive appetizer that can be put together easily with Big Mountain Foods plant based Cauli Crumble. These are mini or cocoktail samosas, smaller in size and hence great to serve for any occasion. Whether you serve this as a snack to your family or as an appetizer to guests, these will be devoured quickly!
Dal or lentil samosas are also well known and this Cauli crumble mini samosas taste pretty similar to that. It is very satisfying and a welcome change to potato filled ones. Like the name sounds, these are veggie based. Cauliflower! This is a great way to sneak veggies! Veggie haters will start loving this as soon as they taste it!

It is easy to put together. The recipe uses store bought spring roll sheets. With these sheets and Big Mountain Foods Cauli Crumble, it is possible to even make for a crowd. If you donothave spring roll sheets, try uncooked tortilla for a quick fix. Cut the tortills to a desired size to make the samosa cones and continue with the same procedure. For a milder version, skip the extra spices, make it using the cauli crumble as such. Mild or spicy, these are addictive!
This is somewhat healthy! though itis deepfried, it is made with cauliflower grounds and not regular potato. Yes, this cauliflower and yellow lentil based food has tons of nutrition. This has smoky paprika and love that aroma. I added couple of spices to enhance the taste and make a traditional samosa.

Big Mountain Foods specialize in plant based vegan meat alternatives. Their product range is super amazing with tons ofoptions to use the products. It is easy to whipup a meal with these vegan foods. With Mighty Mushroom Bites, try this flavorful Mushroom Ragada Patties, and Mighty Mushroom Bites "Vada" Curry. The Lion's Mane Mushroom Crumble makes amazing Masala Mushroom Crumble Spring Rolls just like this mini samosas. Veggie Links Pulao is an amazind side for holidays and are made with Big Brat Veggie Links.
Instead of deep frying, this can be done in air-fryer too! I am alsolinking this with Sundays on Silverado, Happiness is Homemade, What's For Dinner, and Inspire Me Monday!
    Ingredients
    Makes 8
Big Mountain Foods Cauli Crumble - 1 cup
    Oil - 1 tbsp
    Cumin - 1/2 tsp
    Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Salt - 1/4 tsp
    Cayenne - 1/2 tsp
    Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
    Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Spring Roll wrappers (these are vegan) - 4 sheets
Oil - 2 cups for deep frying
    Method
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Add the cumin and fennel seeds. Fry for 30 seconds.
Add the cauli crumble, salt, cayenne, turmeric, and coriander powder. Mix thorughly and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add cilantro, mix, switch off the flame, and set aside to cool.

Take the spring roll wrappers and cut in the middle making two rectangles out of each sheet. Fold the shorter edge of the sheet into and wrap around to make a cone. Seal the sides with water.

Open the cone, fill about a tablespoon of the spiced cauli crumble mixture. Fold one side of the top and cover with the longer flap sealing with water. Repeat with the remaining.

Heat oil on medium flame.Deep fry the mini samosas until golden in color flipping the sides. May take about 3-4 minutes. Drain in a paper towel to remove excess oil. Repeat deep frying the remaining mini samosas.

Serve with ketchup or green chutney.
