    Guava Lassi

    May 17, 2022 · 3 Comments

This is a very simple but the most tastiest lassi with the most healthy fruit, guava! This is easy to make and loaded with nutrients, making it a perfect choice for summer or any day.

Guava is a tropical fruit. This guava comes in varied skin colors from pale green to yellow. The flesh color can also vary from white/cream to vibrant pink. This fruit is a low calorie fruit, loaded with fiber, potassium and Vitamin C. It is also known to reduce blood sugar levels. These factors make it an ideal candidate to enjoy as such as a fruit as well as in delicious recipes.
Now, the color of the lassi is dependent on the variety of guava used. The pink flesh gives a beautiful pink hue to the lassi. The color may be cream/white if the white flesh ones are used but nevertheless the taste is going to be amazing!

I have used frozen guava as I do get the pink flesh mostly in frozen form. The white fleshed ones are available nowadays. I have used my Vitamix to blend the juice and the seeds, if present, are also ground together. This way it adds to the health benefits of this lassi. If you do not prefer that, make sure to remove the seeds. Fresh guava can also be used to make this lassi.
A little quantity of milk is added here as I often use Greek yogurt as well as homemade yogurt interchangeably. Instead of milk, guava juice can also be used and in that case, adjust the sugar as per taste. The sugar quantity also depends on the sweetness of the fruit. Just check the taste and adjust as per your sweetness requirements.
This amazing lassi is so addictive and we love any form of lassi during summer as well as for a quick snack. Mango Lassi is often made and enjoyed in our home. I guess this can also be called the family drink! Berries make the yummiest lassi too! This Very Berry Lassi is a perfect choice to use summer berries and make an easy nourishing yogurt smoothie aka lassi.
This no-cook, easy and healthy lassi is a great choice not only to nourish your family, but this lassi makes an easy dessert drink for parties too! Lassi is always a crowd pleaser! When Sasmita suggested "Lassi" as the theme for this week's Foodie Monday Blog Hop, I made my decision to share this delicious recipe. This fruit may be available by this time and hence a great way to enjoy the fruit as well as beat the heat with this super cool summer cooler! Check here if you'd like to participate in this event. We post on a voted theme every Monday!
I am also linking this to Sundays on Silverado, What's For Dinner, Share The Wealth, and Happiness is Homemade.

What a unique lassi recipe! I might never have thought of using guava in lassi. Such a pretty colour, and I'm sure it tasted super flavourful too. 😊
