Nannari sarbath is one of the best refreshing and popular drink. Though it can be had anytime if the year, it is so refreshing to have it in a hot day. Soaked basil seeds can also be added.
This is a satisfying summer drink. The roots of the plant nannari or sarasaparilla are used to make a syrup and this is readily available in all Indian grocery stores. Once you have the syrup, it is easy to make. Add lime juice, water, and ice. Very simple but very refreshing.
This juice has particularly has so many memories. Not only for me but for many people in the south. This drink will be sold in many shops and restaurants. Just stop in one of the shop and enjoy your drink. When we wait for bus at the bus stand, many times we have had this drink with family and friends. During summer, all our friends made and enjoyed whenever we met it sometimes we enjoy together when we go out. Sometimes people order with soda instead of water. In both the ways it is delicious.
This is my second post for this week sharing recipes for Summer Coolers for Srivalli’s Blogging Marathon.
