Cherry Falooda

This creamy, refreshing, and fun cherry falooda features cherry in layers along with ice cream, jelly, vermicelli, and almonds.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar syrup
  • 1 tbsp Basil seeds soak in ½ cup water
  • ½ cup Falooda sev
  • 3 tbsp Almonds sliced
  • ¼ cup Candied cherry or fresh cherries
  • 4 scoops Cherry vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cups Water

Cherry milk

  • 4 tbsp Cherry jam or compote
  • ½ cup Evaporated milk 
  • ½ cup Milk

Cherry Agar Agar Jelly

  • cup Cherry juice plus 1 tbsp
  • cup ater plus 1 tbsp
  • ½ tsp Agar agar

Instructions

  • Soak the basil seeds in half cup of water.
  • Cook the falooda sev for 5-7 minutes in the remaining water. Drain and set aside.

To make the cherry agar agar jelly

  • Heat the water and sugar and when it begins to boil, add the agar agar powder. When to is completely dissolved, Remove from the flame, add the cherry juice.
  • Pour on to a flat container and set aside to set. In about 5-15 minutes, it will be set. Cut into cubes.

For cherry milk

  • Add the evaporated milk, milk, and cherry jam to a blender and blend to a smoothie. 

For assembling:

  • Add a tablespoon of sugar syrup, followed by 2-3 tablespoons of cherry agar agar jelly, and one-fourth of the cooked corn vermicellito each tall serving glass.
  • Add one-fourth of the soaked basil seeds, followed by some chopped or candied cherries, almonds, and a generous scoop of cherry vanilla ice cream to each glass.
  • Pour the cherry milk equally into each glass.
  • Repeat the layers with remaining vermicelli, basil seeds, jello, and a scoop of ice cream. Garnish candied cherry, jello, and nuts. Serve immediately.
