Add the grated apples and 4 tablespoon of ghee to a pan and cook for 4-5 minutes over medium flame.
Add the date sugar, mix and continue to cook for 15-17 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated.
Add the crushed cardamom, cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from the flame.
Heat remaining ghee in a pan. Fry the almonds until golden and the raisins all puffed up.
Add it to the halwa and mix.
Serve warm as such or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
